Cash Cycle Solutions, Inc., is a leading provider of outsourced transaction processing services based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Formed when its predecessor entity, Total Billings, Inc., acquired Utility Business Services, Inc. (UBS) in 2006, Cash Cycle Solutions combined over 70 years of industry experience creating a comprehensive suite of outsourced transaction processing solutions. April 14, 2010, CCS acquired and merged with San Diego-based ZDI, Inc. creating a true national presence in the print/mail and digital solutions industry. Today, the company serves hundreds of customers coast to coast from its four locations - Charlotte and Durham, North Carolina; San Diego, California; and Union, New Jersey.

In delivering its flexible suite of traditional processing and digital solutions, Cash Cycle Solutions combines its proprietary technology with state-of-the-art operations centers to support every client’s entire cash cycle. From rate management and usage input, to invoice calculation and statement rendering, to postal processing and optimization, to document archival and retrieval, and finally, to remittance processing and intelligent data analysis and tracking, the technology opens a portal of visibility into the daily activities of the cash cycle that did not exist prior to its development

Cash Cycle Solutions currently provides outsourcing to a broad spectrum of industries including, but certainly not limited to, utilities, government services, financial services, insurance, telecommunications and healthcare. Outsourcing with Cash Cycle Solutions has allowed each of these verticals to better manage billing, account management, customer service and payment remittance departments.

The Company’s industry-leading solutions begin with CCS Mail Manager™. It allows clients to outsource print, mail and digital services, yet still maintain visibility and control of the entire process. Paired with CCS Track™ and CCS Analytics™, exclusive, patented, Web-based mail tracking applications that provide visibility into the USPS mailstream for outbound mail as well as inbound customer payment, a void is filled providing visibility to approximately 80 percent of the monthly cash cycle that was previously “blacked out.” Prior to the creation of CCS Track™ and CCS Analytics™, there was no simple or cost-effective analysis tool to track bill delivery, understand customer payment patterns, access real-time address updates or have advance visibility to the payments (cash) that were in-route back to the office or payment processing center.

Specially designed for the utility industry, the CCS Wins® application converts customer consumption of services into an invoice. CCS Wins® boasts over 15 years of modeling, development and testing and has the ability to scale its services to the largest, most complex multi-faceted organizations. CCS Wins® provides an outsourced billing process solution for utility companies, allowing clients to focus on their core competencies. This ASP software solution takes the front-end consumption information from automated meter reading technologies, calculates bills, tariffs and fees, then generates a billing file for the customer.

Continuing into the suite of services, CCS Present™ is a fully-integrated, end-to-end electronic bill presentment and payment (EBPP) solution that lets clients outsource their entire electronic billing process. CCS Present™ is a true paperless solution. Once customers choose online billing, they no longer need to receive a paper bill – and there is no longer a need to send one. CCS Present™ also provides customer service representatives with the ability to collect a payment via a customer’s merchant or bank account while on a phone call to help with first-call resolution.

CCS Pay™ is a stand-alone pay portal for clients who want to offer their customers a convenient and integrated pay and transaction site without the complete electronic presentment and payment functionality that CCS Present™ offers. CCS Pay™ allows customers to remit payment over the Internet or can be utilized as a customer service tool for in-house representatives to accept payments over the phone. This hybrid approach offers customers the flexibility to manipulate specific aspects of the billing cycle, accelerate their cash inflows and provide an increased level of customer service. It can be implemented as a Web-based pay portal site linked to a client’s existing Web site. Through this application, a client’s customers can log on and make one-time payments using only their names and account numbers.

CCS Pay™/IVR is a sophisticated interactive voice response (IVR) voice processing technology system that enables our clients’ customers to access their accounts and payment information using any touchtone cellular or landline telephone from anywhere and at any time. CCS Pay™/IVR can be tailored to meet specific requirements beginning with its basic functionality to more complex solutions that require multi-lingual automatic speech recognition and text-to-speech capabilities.

The solution for the final phase of the cash cycle, CCS LockBox™, completes the comprehensive suite of outsourced billing solutions by seamlessly handling the clearing and remittance process regardless of channel or banking relationships. With the launch of the lockbox solution, customers can take advantage of lower price points. In addition to cost savings, CCS LockBox™, provides additional technology and transparency on the remittance end, maximizing efficiency and minimizing costs.
